In Roundhay Park, part of the Leeds Botanical Gardens, is an attractions giving over half a million visitors a year the chance to step out of Yorkshire weather and travel into a tropical Amazon adventure. Temple Newsam is amongst the best in England, set in the estate just outside Leeds the history of this attraction stems from the mid sixteenth century. It was the birth place of Lord Danley who famously married Mary Queen of Scots. Temple Newsam and its gardens are now open to the public and after two years of renovation, it is a delight to visit and is one of Leeds favourite attractions.

Harewood House is another estate which has become a very popular attraction. The full estate covers over four thousand hectares. The mansion itself was built back in the mid eighteenth century by Edwin Lascelles. It is lavishly furnished with some of the regions best designers and furniture makers including many works by Thomas Chippendale. Harewood House has a fabulous collection of art works in the Terrace Gallery. The are often many open air concerts held at this attraction.

The City of Leeds has one of largest population of students and to with it a one of the best cities for a night out with it becoming a favourite destination for the many nightclubs and bars in what has been described as a 24 hour city.
